Akita puppy training is pretty simple if you follow some simple training tips.

Your akita puppy will become very attuned to your tone of voice. I cannot stress enought how important it is from the start that you command respect from your Akita.

It is crucial that your puppy sees you as the leader from the get go - do NOT fall into the trap of letting your puppy have the run of the place and begin training later because then your akita will have acquired bad habits.

Your akita is very smart.  And will always be listening to your tone of voice and watching your body language. If you want a well mannered akita that follows commands and direction then be aware of how you speak and relate to your akita puppy from the start.

Your akita will be most happy when following your training and commands.

The Akita breed is a working dog. A working dog classification means that your Akita likes to be active and have a job to do each day to keep him happy and content.

The Akita is an intelligent dog. That means your Akita will learn commands very quickly and be able to do a wide range of tasks and tricks.

However, because your dog comes from the AKC working dog classification, it means that your Akita will not be happy being cooped up in a pen all day with nothing to do. This will highly frustrate a smart and active dog such as the Akita.
